I read something that says that the series is gonna end with House dying. I think he OD's or something. NOT 100% SURE; NO SOURCE. But if that were to happen, maybe Cuddy'd be there for the funeral? :/

it’s just a common assumption the House fandom has. Many fans believe the only way to really end the show is for House to die, but the finale hasn’t even been written yet, so everything is all speculation at this point. It’s all fair game. Except Cuddy’s return, apparently that is not happening (if the news we’ve heard tonight is legit). There has been no confirmed comment from either Lisa E’s people or FOX, but it did come from fairly reliable source, so I’m not holding my breath on her making a return, although I’d REALLY love it if she did. I think they owe it to her character to give her a proper send-off, but it’s very doubtful that it will happen :(
